Siddhant Rahashya

Śrāvaṇasya śyāmale pakṣe, ekādaśyāṁ mahāniśi ।

Sākṣād bhagavatā proktaṁ, tad akṣaraśa ucyate ॥1॥

Meaning: On the sacred midnight of Ekādaśī in the dark fortnight of the month of Śrāvaṇa, that which was spoken directly by Bhagavān Shri Krishnais here stated verbatim.

Brahma-sambandha-karaṇāt, sarveṣāṁ deha-jīvayoḥ ।

Sarva-doṣa-nivṛttir hi, doṣāḥ pañca-vidhāḥ smṛtāḥ ॥2॥

Meaning: Through Brahma-sambandha, all the impurities of body and soul of all the people are wiped out. These defects are said to be of five kinds.

Sahajā deśa-kālotthā, loka-veda-nirūpitāḥ ।

Saṁyogajāḥ sparśajāś ca, na mantavyāḥ kathañcana ॥3॥

Meaning: Innate defects, defects arising from place and time, defects described in worldly convention and in the Vedas, defects arising from association, and defects arising from touch—these five kinds of defects should no longer be taken into consideration. Upon entering Bhakti-mārga, these defects should not be regarded as valid in any manner.

Anyathā sarva-doṣāṇāṁ, na nivṛttiḥ kathañcana ।

Asamarpita-vastūnāṁ, tasmād varjanam ācaret ॥4॥

Meaning: Without that Bramha sambandha in no other way, all impurities get extinguished. Therefore one should abandon all objects which are not formally offered to Prabhu Shri Krishna

Nivedibhiḥ samarpyaiva, sarvaṁ kuryād iti sthitiḥ ।

Na mataṁ deva-devasya, sāmi-bhukta-samarpaṇam ॥5॥

Meaning: Those devotees who have performed Nivedana of their very selves unto Bhagavān should sustain their lives only through those objects that have first been offered to Bhagavān. This is the established principle (maryādā) of Bhakti-mārga. An object that has already been partially enjoyed should not be offered to Bhagavān Shri Krishna, the God of all gods.

Tasmād ādau sarva-kārye, sarva-vastu-samarpaṇam ।

Meaning: Therefore, at the very beginning of every undertaking, Samarpaṇa of every object should be made unto Hari. |

Dattāpahāra-vacanaṁ, tathā ca sakalaṁ Hareḥ ॥6॥

Na grāhyam iti vākyaṁ hi, bhinna-mārga-paraṁ matam ।

Meaning: The scriptures declare that what has once been given (offered as a gift) should not be taken back. Accordingly, the statement that Everything which is belonging to Hari should not be accepted.  The statement, should not be accepted, it belongs to the view of a different path. it does not apply to Bhakti-mārga.

Sevakānāṁ yathā loke, vyavahāraḥ prasiddhyati ॥7॥

Tathā kāryaṁ samarpyaiva, sarveṣāṁ brahmatā tataḥ ।

Meaning: Just as the conduct of a Sevaka is accepted in the world, in the same manner all actions should be performed after offering them to Prabhu, this way all actions also attain sacredness.

Gaṅgātvaṁ sarva-doṣāṇāṁ, guṇa-doṣādi-varṇanā ॥8॥

Gaṅgātvena nirūpyā syāt, tadvad atrāpi caiva hi ॥8½॥

Meaning: The defects of impure water and other substances that merge into the Gaṅgā become identified with the Gaṅgā itself, and the qualities and defects of that water are thereafter described only in terms of the Gaṅgā. In the same way, upon receiving Brahma-sambandha, the qualities and defects of the soul are no longer described; rather, its Brahmatā, that is, faultlessness and its state of equanimity, becomes established.

|| Iti Shri Vallbhacharya Virchitam Siddhant Rahasyam Sampurnnam ||

PRASANG :

Pavitra Ekadashi is basically the beginning of the Pushtimarg. Once Shri Mahaprabhuji visited the govind ghat. On the day of putrada ekadashi shri mahaprabhuji accomplished bhagwat paarayan. Shri mahaprabhuji was accompanied by shri damodardas harsaniji. At night while resting under chhonkar tree Shri Mahaprabhuji is lost in full of thoughts. Shri mahaprabhuji’s work is to reunite all the Divine beings with prabhu Shri Krushna. There is challenge before Aapshri is that.. All the jeevs are lost in Maya. All the jeevs are full of dosh under kaliyuga’s effects. Whereas our yashodatsang laalit prabhu is very soft and So pure.

While Shri Mahaprabhuji is figuring out about this challenge. Our beloved Prabhu shri krushna appears as Shri Gokulchandramaji before Aacharyacharan & says “oh ! Vallabh.. Dont worry bring the jeevs under your shelter..Educate them with panchakshar mantra.” Prabhu revealed a bramhasambandh mantra & says”Give them bramhasambandha. When a jeev comes to me under your guidance will become pure. I will hold his hand & never leave him alone.” Shri Mahaprabhuji is overjoyed by the solution as well as having darshan of shri Gokulchandramaji.

Afetrwords shri mahaprabhuji prepared a 360 rounds of cotton thread by Aapshri’s janoi under coloured with kesar & offerd to Prabhu. Also offers a “Mishri Bhog”. At that time Shri Mahaprabhuji Praising Prabhu by Creating a Granth “Shri Madhurashtakam”.When the divine conversation is going on between shri mahaprabhuji & Shri krushna meanwhile shri damlaji(Damodardaas Harsaniji) was sleeping near to them. damlaji woke up by this conversation but due to utmost respect towards aacharyacharan he remained in sleeping position and keep the eyes closed. When Shri krushna disappears after the conversation Shri Mahaprabhuji waken up damlaji and & says “heared anything..?” Damlaji replies with topmost simplicity and respect “Heared but didn’t understand. (This shows that understanding the deep meanings of Prabhu’s leela isnt that easy ; only guru can give us better understanding about prabhu’s leela).

By then it was the morning of the second day The Dwadashi. Shri Mahaprabhuji told damlaji to take a bath in Shri yamunaji. Afterwards, Shri Damlaji after taking bath returned to shri mahaprabhuji. Aacharyacharani gave him a bramhasambandh and made damlaji a first ever pushtimargiya vaishnav. Aacharyacharan says “Damla ! This path is created for you.”(Shri Damlaji is the representator of all the vaishnav shrushti so which means this Path of grace is created for all the vaishnvas.). Afterwards Shri Mahaprabhuji says from now on what so ever i am going to tell you is letter by letter prabhu’s statements & Aacharyacharan Creates a “Siddhant Rahashya” granth.
