Pavitra Baras Story :

When the divine conversation is going on between Shri Mahaprabhuji & Shri Krishna. meanwhile, Shri Damlaji(Damodardaas Harsaniji) was sleeping near to them. damlaji woke up by this conversation but due to utmost respect towards Aacharyacharan he remained in a sleeping position and kept his eyes closed.

When Shri Krishna disappears after the conversation. Shri Mahaprabhuji waken up Damlaji and & says “Heard anything..?” Damlaji replies with topmost simplicity and respect “Heard but didn’t understand“.

(This shows that understanding the deep meanings of Prabhu’s leela isn’t that easy; only a guru can give us a better understanding of Prabhu’s leela).

By then it was the morning of the second day The Dwadashi. Shri Mahaprabhuji told damlaji to take a bath in Shri Yamunaji. Afterward, Shri Damlaji after taking a bath returned to Shri Mahaprabhu ji.

Shri Mahaprabhuji gave him a Bramhasambandha. And made damlaji a first-ever pushtimargiya Vaishnav. Aacharyacharan says “Damla ! This path is created for you.“

(Shri Damlaji is the representative of all the Vaishnav shrushti which means this Path of grace is created for all the Vaishnvas.)

Afterward, Shri Mahaprabhuji said from now on what so ever I am going to tell you is the letter by letter Prabhu’s statements & Aacharyacharan Created a “Siddhant Rahashya” Granth and gave it to Shri Damlaji.

This way the path which is also older than Bramha was established by Shri Mahaprabhuji. Due to this reason, this is a very auspicious occasion for all pushtimargiya shrushti.

Shri Mahaprabhuji blessed all the jeevs and created this path for purification and reunion with our Prabhu. So that’s why in pushtimarg we celebrate this day as “Pavitra Baras”. On this day all the Vaishnava shrushti offers “Pavitra” to their respective guru who gave them a Bramha Sambandha.

One of the Bhav of Pavitra:

In Pushtimarg we have Reet to perform seva, and offer Samgri, and Shringar Vastra. If Prabhu blesses and Vaishnav can offer New Vastra Each day of the year. then it really good.

but if circumstances don’t offer this opportunity then the bhav of offering new vastra every day is filled in Pavitra made of 360 strings(taar). this is Vedic and pushti Reet.

That’s why we offer Pavitra to Prabhu for 5 days starting from the Pavitra Ekadashi.

गुरु को पवित्रा धराए 

आज पुष्टिमार्ग की स्थापना का दिवस के रूप मे पुष्टि श्रुष्टी के लिए महत्व पूर्ण दिवस है | महाप्रभुजी हम सब के गुरु बने |

इस लिए आज पुष्टिमार्ग मे गुरु के पूजन के रूप मे मनाया जाता है | आज के दिन सभी वैष्णवन को सेवा मे ठाकुरजी को पवित्रा धरने के पश्चात अपने गुरु को पवित्रा धरने अवश्य जाना चाहिए | हमे ब्रम्ह संबंध देने वाले गुरु को पवित्रा धरे, यथा शक्ति भेट धरे | दनवत प्रणाम करे |

पवित्रा बारस माहात्म्य , पवित्रा बारस वार्ता प्रसंग , ब्रम्ह संबंध

साज : आज श्रीजी में सफेद रंग की मलमल की धोरेवाली (थोड़े-थोड़े अंतर से रुपहली ज़री लगायी हुई) सुनहरी ज़री की हांशिया (किनारी) वाली पिछवाई धरायी जाती है | पिछवाई में सात स्वरूप श्री महाप्रभुजी श्रीजी को पवित्रा धरा रहे हैं |

एवं श्री गुसाई जी मोरछल की सेवा कर रहे हैं | ऐसा सुन्दर चित्रांकन किया गया है | गादी और तकिया के ऊपर सफेद बिछावट की जाती है | तथा स्वर्ण की रत्नजड़ित चरणचौकी के ऊपर हरी मखमल मढ़ी हुई होती है |

पीठिका के ऊपर व इसी प्रकार से पिछवाई के ऊपर रेशम के रंग-बिरंगे पवित्रा धराये जाते हैं |

वस्त्र: पिछेड़ा गुलाबी,रूपहरी किनारी को।श्रीमस्तक पे गुलाबी छज्जेदार पाग।ठाड़े वस्त्र हरे।पिछवाई चितराम की,सप्त स्वरूप की,पवित्रा धारण की।

आभरण: सब पन्ना के। श्रृंगार मध्य से दो आगुल ऊपर।एक कली की माला आवे।कर्ण फूल चार पन्ना के।श्रीमस्तक पे चमकनी चन्द्रिका पन्ना वाली।वेणु वेत्र पन्ना के,एक सोना को।पट गुलाबी,गोटी सोना की छोटी।आरसी श्रृंगार में लाल मखमल की,राजभोग में सोना के डाँड़ी की।

आज गुरु कु पवित्रा धरावे।

सायं पवित्रा के हिंडोलाना में झूले।

राजभोग – सब ग्वाल नाचे गोपी गावे 

हिंडोरा – आई आई सकल ब्रज नार,  झूलत है भामिनी हिंडोरे, कमल नयन प्यारो, झूलत श्री गोपाल, 

शयन – हों बल बल तिही काल गोपाल
