Govardhan Puja and Annakut are among the most significant festivals in the Pushtimarg tradition. These festivals bring to life many historical episodes and divine plays of Prabhu Shri Krishna. During Govardhan Puja, which coincides with the Diwali celebrations, the importance of worshipping cows is emphasized, a practice personally Performed by Shri Krishna.
On this festive day, Shri Krishna established the glory of his devotee. In the entire world, there are two such forms that are both devotees and God themselves, considered the highest among devotees. In the Maryada, it is Lord Hanumanji, and in Pushtimarg, it is Shri Girirajji. Girirajji is known as Haridas Varya, meaning the best among the sevakas of Hari.
Shri Krishna Lila
Govardhan puja :
Every year, the residents of Vraj would worship Lord Indra. However, when Prabhu Shri Krishna became aware of Indra’s growing arrogance, He advised the Vrajvasis to cease the worship of Indra.
Instead, He encouraged them to honor the cows and Mountain Govardhan. Gargacharya, the revered sage, also agreed with Prabhu Shri Krishna’s words. The Vraj Vasi enthusiastically prepared Samgri for the Pujan.
Shrinathji, accompanied by all, approached Govardhan Hill and then performed the Abhishek and worship of Govardhan as per the scriptures.
Annakut :
Following the sacred tradition, all the Vrajwasis offered Bhog, known as Annakut, to Girirajji. The offering included a variety of Samgri, specially prepared in large quantities, symbolizing the abundance and gratitude of the community.
Shri Krishna, merging Himself with Govardhan, announced, “I am Govardhan.” He appeared a thousand hands, reflecting the collective desire of all Sakhas and Sakhis to offer Him a feast.
Thus, He revealed half of His hands in the sentiment of His male friends and the other half in the sentiment of Gopis, accepting each lovingly offered Samgri.
This tradition, which began then, continues to be celebrated with the same fervor in the Vrajbhumi.
In Pushtimarg, this ritual and sequence hold special significance. All Pushtimarg temples celebrate this festival with great joy, offering the grand bhog of Annakut to Prabhu Shri Govardhannathji.

वस्त्र:- सब दीपावली के ही रहे।लाल जरी के गोकर्ण धरावे।राजभोग सरे पीछे वाम श्रीहस्त में लाल दरियाई को पीताम्बर धरावे।
आभरण:- सब दीपावली के।आज दो जोड़ी के श्रृंगार होवे। दोइ हालरा नहीं आवे।बाकि सब काल जैसे श्रृंगार होवे।
राजभोग आरती होवे पीछे तिलकायतश्री मिड्ढा में सेव,घी,बुरा पधराय के महूर्त करे।तत्पश्चात अन्नकूट के भोग धरावे।।

राजभोग (भीतर) – बडडन को आगे
– खेली बहो खेली
पूजवे पधारे – चलेरी गोपाल गोवर्धन पूजन
गोवर्धन पूजा – बडडन को आगे
– गोवर्धन पूजा कर गोविन्द
अन्नकूट भोग – अन्नकूट कोटिक भातन सों
– गोकुलराज गोवर्धन गोधन
अन्नकूट – गोद बैठे गोपाल
– अपने अपने टोल कहत
– बोल लिए सब ग्वाल
– इत्यादि
आरती – राजे गिरिराज आज
शयन – कान्ह कुँवर के कर
पोढवे – भयो हरी पोढन को समयो
