Pushtimarg Bhav of Raksha Bandhan:

Shri Gopinathji gives Aagya in Bhav Prakas of Rakshabandhan :

In Prabhu Shri Krishna’s childhood, during the playful episode of defeating the demoness Putana;
the gopis tied a Rakhi on Prabhu Shri Krishna’s wrist to protect him. This tradition symbolizes their heartfelt desire for Shreeji’s well-being. In the Pushtimarg (a Vaishnav sect), devotees express their wishes for the protection of Shri Krishna by tying a Rakhi to Prabhu Shri Krishna, who safeguards everyone.
